About Us

You might already know who Doyle is. Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is the legendary guitarist of the Misfits. He also has his own band, Doyle. Not only has the guy consistently been touring the world for the last 40 years, but he’s also been seeking, building, and designing his own gear to withstand the brutal punishment he imposes on them night after night. He demands the best. He expects the best.

Me? I am Josh Vittek. Doyle's partner in Von Frankenstein Monster Gear. I have been on the manufacturing side of the guitar industry for just over 30 years. I have worked for and/or with the biggest brands and artists in the business. In 2008, I started my own public relations and marketing firm, VittekPR. I also own Sheptone. Sheptone manufactures high-end custom-built pickups and strings for artists. As a guitarist myself, I too, demand the best from my gear, the products I make, and whatever service I am providing to my customers.

Together, Doyle and I had worked on a variety of projects over the years. Recently, we were not finding certain things in the market to accommodate his needs. One thing led to another and here we are! Von Frankenstein Monster Gear was born. We care about the product. We care about you. If Doyle wouldn't use the product himself, he wouldn't put his name on it. I feel the same way.
